Prayer Group started in November 1977
Bahrain St. Peter's Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church is established as a registered church in 1978
Ist Holy Qurbano was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Varghese Puliyan on 2nd November 1978.
Ist Vicar V. Rev. Thomas Moothedam Ramban took charge in December 1978
Parish relocated to:
- Naim area in 1979
- Ras Roman area in 1981 near Amerian Mission Hospital
- Salmaniya area in 1984
- The present premises at Salmaniya in January 1991.
Major renovations to the present premises:
- In 1996, in 2005 and in 2008.
The Social Service League was established in the year 2000
The Youth Association wing was re-established in April 2005.
Sunday school started in 1980
The Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam unit of the Church was re-established in October 2002
The Church was blessed with the Apostolic visits of Patriarch of Antioch & All the East H.H. Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, in 1989 and 2003
The late Catholicos Aboon Mor Baselius Paulose II visited our church in 1988
The Catholicos Aboon Mor Baselius Thomas I visited our Church in 2004
Cultural Programs
- 1982 – Katha Prasangam
- 1983- Drama
- 2002 – Cultural program titled “ Agape 1”
- 2003- A cultural program titled “Midad Sandya”, by 50 well known artists from Kerela
- 2005 – Cultural program titled “ Agape II”
St. Peter's J.S.O. Church celebrated its Jubilees:
- 20th Annuarsary in 1998
- Silver jubilee of the church in 2003.
- Silver jubilee celebration of the Sunday school in 2006.
- 30th Annuarsary of the church – 2008
